For my third illustration in my ongoing series of Middle-Earth cross-sections I decided to tackle the great Citadel atop the seven level city of Minas Tirith.I was originally going to tackle the top few levels of the city as a cross-section but as the process went on I decided to focus my attention on the top level, in particular the Hall of Kings. This allowed my to put in more detail and accuracy than would have been possible with a more zoomed out composition. Check out the other two in the series so far here:Helms Deep – www.artstation.com/artwork/9gdlyThe Golden Hall of Edoras – www.artstation.com/artwork/3VW2g
