Supergirl and Krypto

Friends of Supergirl (cosplayer Laney Jade) came by with their Shepherd-Husky mix and put a cape and collar on her to make her into “Krypto” (Superman’s dog) to go along with Laney’s “Supergirl” cosplay. I just happened to be at the right place at the exact right time and asked if I could tag along to grab some photos. Getting the pup to sit still for a photo was an adventure as she wasn’t quite sure what her owners wanted her to do and the cape was bothering her. Her owners told me that she had been a pure white until she hit 7 years old and then she developed this bit of light-tan to her topcoat. Her owners were saying that she now looked a bit like a toasted marshmallow. *lol* Full caveat: I used to have a Shepherd-Husky mix who greatly resembled a wolf from yet was total sweetheart just like this dog. I *miss* that dog as she was literally my best friend growing up. And as a little, little kid (maybe two years old?), I had a white dog that I re-named from “Pal” to “Krypto” as he looked like Krypto in the Superboy cartoons. Yes, I’ve been a geek my whole life.
